HagueTalks – UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

November 26, 2018

HagueTalks is a meeting place for creative minds, peace inventors and game changers in the field of peace and justice. It is a stage and breeding place for new ideas and perspectives, a forum for discussion and a starting point for concrete action. November 20th is an important date as it is the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

During the 20 November 2018 edition at The Hague’s Humanity House I spoke about ZINC Foundation and our mission of turning invisible children into invincible ones by leveraging blockchain technology.

290 Million invisible children worldwide; children who do not have a legal identity. Although birth registration is a basic human right, many children are still denied this fundamental human right. The solution: to provide children with a resilient digital identity.
